Day 1

Arusha to Serengeti National Park

Arusha to Serengeti National Park

After an early breakfast, your journey begins with a scenic drive from your lodge in Arusha toward the legendary Serengeti National Park. Though the drive is long, it’s packed with awe-inspiring landscapes. You’ll ascend the Ngorongoro Highlands and pause at the crater rim for a breathtaking panoramic view of the Ngorongoro Crater—a surreal moment that lingers in memory, especially for first-time visitors.

As you descend into the Serengeti, the meaning of its name—“endless plains”—becomes clear. Spanning over 18,000 square kilometers, the land seems to stretch infinitely, distorting your sense of space and time. The Serengeti is the epicenter of the Great Migration, where over two million wildebeest, hundreds of thousands of zebras, and numerous antelope species roam. It’s also a predator’s paradise, home to lions, leopards, cheetahs, and hyenas. As the sun dips low, you'll arrive at Misako Luxury Tented Camp for a serene overnight stay surrounded by the rhythm of the wild.

Day 2

The endless Serengeti to Ngorongoro highland

The endless Serengeti to Ngorongoro highland

Rise early to catch the first golden rays of the sun and embark on a thrilling morning game drive—this is when the wilderness truly comes alive. Predators prowl, grazers feed, and the savannah awakens with drama and beauty. After this exhilarating start, return to camp for a hearty brunch and some relaxation before continuing your journey toward the legendary Ngorongoro Crater.

Often hailed as the 8th Wonder of the Natural World, the crater is a 265-square-kilometer caldera encircled by 600-meter-high walls. Within this vast natural amphitheater lies one of the densest concentrations of wildlife in Africa. Expect encounters with lions, elephants, hippos, and the rare black rhino. The crater’s diverse ecosystems—rivers, swamps, forests, open plains, and a flamingo-filled soda lake—support a breathtaking variety of species. Its nutrient-rich volcanic soil fosters lush vegetation, especially favored by the region’s famously large-tusked elephants.
