Golden Monkey Trekking in Volcanoes National Park

You'll wake up early for breakfast and head back to Volcanoes National Park for a briefing about golden monkey trekking. These beautiful primates are listed as endangered by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN). They are cute and playful primates with golden coats. Tracking them doesn’t take so long when compared to gorillas, and get ready to leave the park for Lake Burera and Ruhondo. You'll spend the night here, surrounded by the tranquil beauty of Rwanda’s countryside. After your golden monkey trekking adventure, we will drive to the stunning Twin Lakes of Burera and Ruhondo. Set against a backdrop of rolling hills and volcanoes, this peaceful spot is perfect for unwinding. You’ll enjoy a scenic boat ride on the lake and a guided nature walk along the shoreline.
