Day 1

Transfer from Arusha/Moshi to Tarangire

Transfer from Arusha/Moshi to Tarangire

You'll start your journey from your Arusha/Moshi hotel or Kilimanjaro/Arusha Airport, embarking on a scenic 3-hour drive to Tarangire National Park. Once there, a full-day game drive awaits, accompanied by a satisfying hot lunch within the park. Later, the drive continues to your overnight accommodation for dinner and stay.

The Tarangire National Park park is a haven for wildlife, boasting herds of up to 300 elephants, scraping the river beds for elusive streams. Witness nomadic wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, and an array of antelope congregating around shrinking lagoons. It holds the highest concentration of wildlife beyond the Serengeti, a paradise for predators. Here, unique species like the elegant fringe-eared oryx and the distinctive long-necked gerenuk are commonly sighted—a rarity elsewhere in Tanzania.

Ngorongoro Crater

Be sure to wake up early today so there is no delay on your descent into the famous Ngorongoro Crater. As soon as you arrive in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you will be amazed by the beauty around you. Even more so when you arrive at the crater's edge and take in the fantastic view over one of the natural wonders of this world. The crater of this inactive volcano is approximately 3 million years old and 20km² in size.

Due to its natural borders, the wildlife in the crater is amazing. The crater is home to Big Five and offers an excellent chance to spot the rare black rhino. Throw hyenas, zebras, buffalos, and elephants into the mix, and you have the perfect canvas for a pretty awesome safari experience! At the end of the afternoon, you go to your overnight accommodation for the night.

Day 3

Transfer from Ngorongoro region to Lake Manyara

Transfer from Ngorongoro region to Lake Manyara

This morning, you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park, a small but diverse park 120km west of Arusha.

Everything you will see here is on a different scale. It is both compact (one of the narrowest parks in Africa) and epic (the Great Rift Escarpment towers over Lake Manyara’s western boundary).

The park’s namesake is a shallow salt lake. It covers a large area of the park, flooding and drying with the seasons, and is home to thousands of wading birds including flamingos and over 500 other bird species.

You may see baboons and elephants in the park’s thick evergreen forest and look out for the tree-climbing lions that have become famous throughout Africa.
