After breakfast, depart Nairobi and drive south through scenic savannah landscapes to Amboseli National Park, a 4.5 to 5-hour journey. Enjoy your first views of wildlife along the way, including herds of cattle tended by Maasai. Arrive in time for lunch at AA Lodge Amboseli, located near the park gate. In the afternoon, head out for your first game drive, with excellent chances of spotting elephants, giraffes, zebras, and buffalo, all set against the backdrop of snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro. Hike down into Hell’s Gate Gorge to see rock towers, hot springs, and steam vents. Break for a picnic lunch, and in the afternoon, you may visit the Olkaria Geothermal Spa for a dip in natural hot pools. Return to Lake Naivasha Crescent Camp for dinner and overnight.

Depart in the morning for a 1.5-hour drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, a UNESCO-recognized bird and wildlife sanctuary. Enter the park and begin your game drives along the lake shore, where thousands of flamingos gather seasonally. Continue to the acacia woodlands and grasslands to search for white and black rhinos, lions, leopards, waterbucks, and baboons.
