Day 1

You will be picked up from the hotel after breakfast and dropped off at the departure point for a briefing before heading to the Mara in the tour van. Stop over at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint at Mai Mahiu before continuing to Narok for lunch. Later, proceed to the Masai Mara, check in at the camp for a cup of coffee, and then head out for an afternoon game drive in the reserve.

Day 2

After breakfast, the driver-guide will pick you up with a packed lunch in hand for a full day of game driving within the reserve. You will capture the sunrise and possibly spot several animals that call the Masai Mara home. Later, stop at the hippo pool picnic site to have lunch and watch the hippos and crocodiles. Continue with an evening game drive before an optional visit to the Maasai village at an extra cost. Here, you will experience a community that has preserved its original culture without the influence of westernization, which has diminished many cultural practices in Kenya. The visit fee is paid directly to the village elders on-site.

Eat an early breakfast at the hotel as the guide briefs you about Lake Nakuru National Park. You’ll then drive to the main gate and enjoy a safari tour, spotting black and white rhinoceroses, buffalos, lions, leopards, flamingos, pelicans, baboons, impalas, gazelles, and other animals and birds that inhabit the park. Visit the Baboon Cliff viewpoint before leaving the park, with lunch en route to Naivasha. You’ll arrive at your budget hotel in Naivasha in the late afternoon. The rest of the afternoon will be spent at your leisure, during which time the guide can take you to Lake Naivasha for an optional boat ride (cost not included) to watch birds and hippopotamuses.

After an early breakfast at the hotel, you’ll prepare for activities in Hell’s Gate National Park. You can enjoy a safari drive with your guide or choose to cycle 14 km down to the gorge. Enjoy the nature before ascending to the main gate, then exit and drive to Amboseli National Park with a stopover for lunch on the main highway. Arrive at the Amboseli campsite in time for sunset, check in, dinner, a bonfire, and your overnight stay.

After breakfast, your driver-guide will pick you up from the campsite and transfer you to Amboseli National Park with a picnic lunch in hand. The park is home to large herds of elephants and is also a great place to view the famous Mount Kilimanjaro, weather permitting. After the game drive, the driver will return you to the campsite for dinner and your overnight stay.
