Chimpanzee trekking experience

Chimpanzee trekking experience

After an early breakfast, you will head to the Visitor Centre for a briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers before beginning your chimpanzee trekking adventure at 8:00 AM. Guided by experienced trackers, you’ll walk through Kibale’s lush rainforest, listening for chimpanzee calls and searching for wildlife along the trails.

The trek usually lasts 2–4 hours, offering chances to spot other primates, birds, butterflies, and towering tropical trees. Once the chimpanzees are located, you will spend one unforgettable hour observing them in their natural habitat as they feed, play, groom, and interact.

After the trek, you’ll return to the visitor centre for your trekking certificate before starting the scenic drive back to Kampala or Entebbe, with a lunch stop along the way. Arrival is expected in the evening, marking the end of an incredible primate experience.
