Day 2

After breakfast, depart Arusha for Tarangire National Park (transfer time: approx. 2 hours). Known for its iconic baobab trees and large elephant herds, Tarangire offers a classic safari experience with fewer crowds. The Ngorongoro Crater is a wildlife haven where you’ll spot lions, elephants, hippos, flamingos, and possibly the endangered black rhino. It’s a compact ecosystem, so game viewing is rich and rewarding. Enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated crater spot before continuing the drive through this UNESCO World Heritage Site.
