Arusha to Serengeti National Park

Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Arusha. After meeting your guide and receiving a brief introduction, you will begin the scenic drive to Serengeti National Park, passing through the lush highlands and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Enjoy stunning landscapes and the chance to spot wildlife even before reaching the park.

You will stop and enjoy a packed lunch near the Serengeti gate, where you can stretch your legs and prepare for your first exciting game drive.

The Serengeti is famous for its endless savanna and incredible wildlife. In the afternoon, you will explore its rich ecosystem, searching for lions, elephants, giraffes, buffalo, zebras and possibly even a cheetah or leopard.

As the day comes to a close, you will head to your public campsite inside the park. Enjoy a freshly prepared dinner, share stories by the campfire, and drift off to sleep beneath the stars, surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Highlands

After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive in the Serengeti, where you can explore more of its vast plains and diverse wildlife. After the drive, head to the Serengeti gate for a relaxing lunch.

Following lunch, begin the scenic journey to the Ngorongoro Highlands. Along the way, you will pass through changing landscapes, from open savanna to lush highlands, with opportunities to spot wildlife.

In the late afternoon, arrive at your campsite on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater. This unique location offers breathtaking panoramic views of the crater floor, one of Africa’s most renowned natural wonders. Take time to unwind and absorb the stunning surroundings as the sun sets.

Dinner will be served at the campsite, allowing you to enjoy a peaceful evening beneath the African stars before a restful night.

Ngorongoro Crater - Exploring Africa's Eden

After an early breakfast, you will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest unbroken volcanic caldera.

Dropping 600m (2,000ft) into the crater, you will enter a unique ecosystem teeming with wildlife. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of the best places to spot the rare black rhino, along with lions, leopards, elephants and hippos. The crater’s lakes and swamps also attract large flocks of flamingos, geese, storks and other bird species.

Lunch will be enjoyed at a scenic picnic site by Ngoitoktok Swamp, where hippos wallow in the water.

After an unforgettable day in the crater, you will begin your journey back to Arusha and be dropped off at your accommodation or at the airport.
