Depart from Amboseli after breakfast and head towards Lake Naivasha, which takes about 5 hours by road. Upon arrival, enjoy a boat ride on Lake Naivasha where you can see hippos and numerous bird species. You may also visit Crescent Island Game Sanctuary for walking safaris among wildlife.
Lake Naivasha is a freshwater lake and is very popular for birdwatching, with notable birds like the Kingfisher. The kingfisher uses the papyrus as a perch, while the Herons hide in it while hunting and searching for food.

After breakfast at your lodge, depart for Masai Mara National Reserve (approximately 5 hours’ drive). Arrive in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive. The Masai Mara is renowned for its population of big cats as well as the Great Migration, if visiting during July through October.

The Maasai Mara National Reserve is renowned for its black-maned lions and incredible wildlife diversity, often allowing visitors to spot the Big Five in just one morning. Many cheetahs in the reserve are so accustomed to vehicles that they seek shade beneath them, and some even climb onto roofs for a better view of their prey. For bird enthusiasts, the reserve is home to nearly 500 species, including 16 types of eagles, various hawks and falcons, 6 species of vultures, 8 species of storks, and the Kori bustard, the world’s heaviest flying bird.

Today marks a significant transition as you leave the Kenyan savannahs and travel to Uganda, the "Pearl of Africa," in preparation for your primate trekking adventures. This day involves domestic and international flights. After an early breakfast, you will be transferred to a local airstrip for a scheduled flight from the Masai Mara to Entebbe. This Flight is usually scheduled from June to August and leaves at 8:15 am. Upon arrival in Entebbe, you will be met by your Ugandan guide and transferred to your hotel near Entebbe or Kampala for an overnight stay, allowing for rest before the next leg of your journey.

After the chimpanzee trek Later in the afternoon, you go to Kasenyi for Boat Cruise on Kazinga Channel and enjoy the view of the wildlife on the riverbanks cooling off like the hippos, Buffalo and Elephants.

After a morning breakfast, check out of the lodge and go for an en’ route game drive via the Ishasha sector. This is the best moment for you to have a glance at the kings of the jungle. These tree-climbing lions are found only in Queen Elizabeth National Park in Uganda. Meeting them on a hunt or during the mating season is always a remarkable experience. Our guides are experienced enough so that they can help you see these lions without trouble. You will enjoy them as they lie in the acacia tree branches.
Continue to Bwindi's impenetrable national park – the home of mountain gorillas. It is a rough ride in the hills of Kabale and Kisoro. The drive to Bwindi (likely the southern sectors like Rushaga or Nkuringo for proximity to Mgahinga) can take several hours, offering stunning views of the Kigezi Highlands, also known as the "Switzerland of Africa".
Check in to the lodge for relaxation upon arrival. You can go for a guided nature walk and visit Batwa communities in the evening hours.

After an early breakfast, proceed to the park headquarters for a gorilla trekking briefing. You'll be assigned to a gorilla family and a group of trekkers. Accompanied by experienced rangers and trackers, you'll embark on a challenging but incredibly rewarding trek through the impenetrable forest. The duration of the trek varies greatly depending on the gorillas' movements, ranging from 2 to 8 hours. Once located, you'll spend a magical hour observing the gorilla family, witnessing their behaviors and interactions up close. This is a truly humble and unforgettable experience. After the trek, you'll descend from the forest and transfer to your lodge near Volcanoes National Park, preparing for the next day's golden monkey trek.
After the trek, you will transfer to Musanze in Rwanda for the golden monkey tracking experience. You will cross through the Cyanika Border post.

After breakfast, head to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters for a golden monkey trekking briefing. These playful and energetic primates are a subspecies of blue monkeys and are found only in the Virunga volcanic mountains. The trek to find them is generally less strenuous than gorilla trekking, and you'll spend an hour observing them as they forage and play in the bamboo forests. After the golden monkey trek, you will be transferred to Kigali, concluding your incredible East African safari.
