Serengeti national park migration safari

After breakfast your second day of safari will start to explore the south of Serengeti which offers an unforgettable wildlife experience you’ll embark on a game drive through the vast savannah, known for large herds of wildebeest and zebra during the Great Migration. The area is famous for its dramatic wildebeest give birth, expect to see predators like lions, cheetahs, and leopards that follow the migrating herds. The diverse landscape also supports elephants, giraffes, buffalo, and a variety of bird species. With a picnic lunch in the wild, the day is filled with thrilling wildlife encounters and stunning scenery. By late afternoon, you’ll head back to your camp, full of memories from one of Africa’s most iconic safari destinations.

Serengeti to ngorongoro highlands

A trip combining Serengeti and Ngorongoro Highlands is a packed and unforgettable safari experience. You start early, in Serengeti National Park where you’ll enjoy a thrilling game drive across its vast plains. Here, you can spot the Big Five—lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards, and rhinos—plus large herds of wildebeest and zebra, especially if it’s migration season. The Serengeti’s rich ecosystem also offers chances to see cheetahs, giraffes, and numerous bird species. After a scenic picnic lunch in the park, you’ll drive towards the Ngorongoro Highlands, home to the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater. Descending into the crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, you’ll encounter an incredible concentration of wildlife including rhinos, hippos, flamingos, and large prides of lions in a unique volcanic caldera setting. I late evening you will go to one among the campsite inside the park for rest.

Ngorongoro highlands to arusha

Your last day of Safari Ngorongoro Crater involves a scenic and comfortable drive after an unforgettable morning exploring the crater. You’ll likely start early in the morning, enjoying a final game drive inside the crater if time allows, spotting wildlife such as lions, elephants, buffalo, and flamingos in their unique volcanic caldera habitat. After the game drive, you begin your journey back to Arusha, which typically takes about 3 to 4 hours depending on road conditions. Along the way, you’ll pass through picturesque landscapes, local villages, and farmland, offering a glimpse of rural Tanzanian life. You’ll arrive in Arusha by afternoon or early evening, where you can relax at your hotel or explore the town. This trip provides a smooth transition from the wild beauty of Ngorongoro back to the comforts of Arusha, perfect for resting before your next adventure or departure.
