Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve

You will be picked up from your hotel or the airport and taken to the office for a morning briefing before departing for the Masai Mara National Reserve from Nairobi. Along the way, you will stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint for about 20 minutes to enjoy the scenery and take beautiful photos of the escarpment. You will then continue to the Masai Mara, arriving in time for lunch. After checking in at your lodge or camp and taking a short rest, you will head out on an evening game drive, which typically lasts until around 6:00pm. Enjoy the stunning African sunset over the rolling plains of the Mara before returning to your lodge or camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Masai Mara Full-day Game Drive

After an early breakfast starting at 5:30am, you will begin your full-day game drive at 6:00am to catch the beautiful sunrise over the savannah and rolling plains. The Masai Mara is Kenya's largest and most famous reserve, known for its high concentration of wildlife and the annual wildebeest migration. This migration is one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. It takes place from early July to late October as herds move between the Masai Mara and Tanzania's Serengeti National Park. This is also the only park in Kenya where you have a strong chance of seeing all the Big Five: lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo and leopard. Morning is the best time to spot big cats like cheetahs, lions, and leopards on the hunt, and the reserve is home to more than 500 wildlife species. After a full day of exploring the park, you will return to your lodge or camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Masai Mara National Reserve to Nairobi

This day includes a visit to a traditional Maasai village, where you will interact with the Maasai people and learn more about their culture and way of life. After the village experience, enjoy a guided walking safari before beginning your journey back to Nairobi. You will arrive in the evening and be dropped off at the airport or your hotel, depending on your travel plans.
