Day 1

Welcome to Uganda the Pearl of Africa: Upon arrival you shall be welcomed by an Otter African Safaris guide at Entebbe International Airport from where you will transfer to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in Nakasongola. Depending on your arrival time you will have lunch before transferring to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. You will check in at the lodge at the sanctuary and you will relax, preparing yourself for the further adventure that awaits you in the Pearl of Africa. You will have dinner and night overstay at the lodge.

Day 2

After your early morning breakfast you will head to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary Headquarters for the briefing of the do's and don’ts while rhino tracking. You will then head into the sanctuary and have an hour on foot rhino tracking. After rhino trekking you will check out of the lodge at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and transfer to Murchison Falls National Park. You will have an en-route lunch in Masindi. You will then proceed to the top of the Murchison falls where the Nile squeezes through an 8m wide gorge and you will have the breath taking views of the Nile. From the falls you will continue and check in to the lodge.

After your very early morning breakfast, you will embark on a game drive in Murchison Falls National Park as early as 6am with chances for seeing Giraffes, Lions, Buffaloes, Elephants, Oribis, Jackson Hartebeest, Waterbucks, Warthogs, Hyenas and if you so lucky you could spot leopards in the rolling plains of the park. After the game drive you will have time to relax and have lunch. In the afternoon you will enjoy a Nile boat cruise to the bottom of the water falls and you will spot different animal species like the crocodiles, hippos, Elephants and many bird species for the bird lovers. After the boat cruise return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

The journey to Fort Portal is a long one but an enjoyable one as you will enjoy the beautiful scenery on your way. You will arrive at the hotel in Fort Portal and you will have lunch afterwards you will check in. Dinner and Overnight stay
at the lodge.

After your early morning breakfast, you will transfer to Bundibugyo to visit the Sempaya Hot Springs in Semliki Game Reserve which are both male and female and have high temperatures of up to 100 degrees Celsius. While here you will visit both and take as many pictures as you want. Afterwards, you will return to the hotel for lunch. After Lunch, you will visit the Amabere ganyinamwiru a cultural and historic site with rock formation of stalagmites and stalactites with a rich cultural history attached to them which form scenic caves and waterfalls. You will hike to the top of the world and you will also see
different crater lakes in Fort portal. You will then transfer to Kibale and check in at the lodge. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Chimpanzee Tracking and Afternoon visit to the Bigodi Wetlands

You will wake up early in the morning for breakfast and then report at the park headquarters at Kanyanchu at 7:30am for briefing by the guides about the dos and don’ts while with the chimpanzees. You will then embark on a trek for the search of the chimpanzees and once you have spotted a group, you will spend one hour with them observing their different behaviours and you will also spot other primates in the forest. After the chimpanzee tracking experience you will be awarded a chimpanzee tracking certificate and after you will return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, you will embark on a guided nature walk in the Bigodi wetlands and you have a chance to spot 138 bird species.

After your breakfast early in the morning at the lodge, you will check out of the lodge and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will arrive at the lodge in Queen Elizabeth National Park just in time for lunch and then you will check in.
After lunch at the lodge, you will go for a 2 hour boat cruise trip on the Kazinga Channel which connects Lakes George and Edward and you will surely be fascinated by the concentrations of giant hippos, buffaloes, elephants and crocodiles among others. You will also see many varieties of birds at the water shores. You will have dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Have your breakfast very early in the morning, depart for an early morning game drive as early as 6am to the rolling plains of Uganda’s second largest National Park and look out for: lions, leopards, Elephants, buffaloes, hippos, waterbucks, warthogs, leopards, Uganda Kobs, Hyenas, and Hippos. For any birder, there are quite a number of birds to sight too during the drive. Return to the lodge for some rest time and lunch. In the afternoon you will head out to the twin lakes of Katinda and Mirambi and you will enjoy its views while on a small picnic.

After your early morning breakfast, you will checkout of the lodge in Queen Elizabeth National Park and you will transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park through the Ishasha sector. You will have a game drive in the Ishasha sector and you will have a chance to see the tree climbing lions that are seen resting in the fig trees. After that you will proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and you will have lunch along the way.

After the early morning breakfast, you will proceed to UWA visitor’s reception where briefing is done before tracking at 7:30am about the dos and don’ts while with the gorillas. Remember to carry your packed lunch and enough drinking water since you may stay in the forest up to afternoon in search of these gentle giants in their natural environment. Gorilla tracking exercise is physically demanding but an exciting activity! You may need to hire a porter to assist you during tracking and these are readily available at the park headquarters. Time allowed to spend with gorillas is 1 hour when you have found them and this is enough to ask all the questions about their behaviour. Return to the lodge after trekking and freshen up. In the evening, Batwa pygmies will be invited to entertain you with their dances, storytelling after you have dinner and overnight. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

After your early morning breakfast, you will proceed to the visitors centre in Mgahinga National Park at Ntebeko where you will be briefed about the dos and don’ts while with the golden monkeys. After the briefing you will then head inside the forest to search for the golden monkeys and once you have identified a group, you will be given one hour to spend with the monkeys watching their behaviours and you will take as many pictures as you want.

In the afternoon, you will check out of the lodge in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi where you will relax as you end your day. Depending on the time of arrival at Lake Bunyonyi, you will go for canoeing and explore the different islands on the lake like the famous punishment island. Overnight stay and dinner at the lodge.

After your morning breakfast, you will exit Lake Bunyonyi and transfer to Lake Mburo National Park, the smallest Savannah national park in Uganda. You will have a lunch break at Igongo Cultural Center. After lunch you will have an opportunity to tour the Igongo Museum that illustrates the culture of the Banyankole. You will also hike the Biharwe Eclipse
Monument at the centre. You will then proceed to Lake Mburo National Park and check in at the lodge. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

After your morning breakfast, you will have a morning game drive as you exit the park and set off to Kampala or Entebbe for your flight back home. Along the way you will have a stop at the Equator in Kayabwe for memorable photos and the famous water experiment that show that earth is separated into the Northern and Southern Hemisphere and you will have a chance
to enjoy both the hemispheres as you will take so many pictures of the beautiful moments. You will have an en-route lunch and you continue your journey to Kampala or Entebbe for your flight. Do not forget to purchase a souvenir for yourself as a remembrance for this wonderful trip in Uganda.
