Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve

Our safari begins with a morning pick-up from your Nairobi hotel or from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA). Enjoy a scenic drive through Kenya’s countryside, with a brief stop at the Great Rift Valley Viewpoint for spectacular panoramic photos. The journey to Masai Mara takes approximately 5–6 hours.

Upon arrival at Mara Elatia Camp or Similar facility, check in and enjoy a freshly prepared lunch. In the afternoon, set out for your first game drive in the world-renowned Masai Mara. Keep your eyes peeled for the Big Five; lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhino, as well as other wildlife in this vast savannah ecosystem.

Return to the camp in the evening for dinner and your overnight stay.

Full Day in Masai Mara

Start the day early with a sunrise game drive, when predators such as lions and cheetahs are most active. Return to camp for breakfast and take some time to relax.

Later in the morning or early afternoon, you have the option to visit a traditional Maasai village (optional, at an extra cost). Learn about the fascinating culture, traditions, and daily life of the Maasai people.

In the afternoon, enjoy another thrilling game drive in the reserve, offering more chances to spot wildlife in different habitats. End the day with dinner and overnight at the camp.

Masai Mara – Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, depart Masai Mara with a final early morning game drive en route. Travel through the scenic Great Rift Valley towards Lake Nakuru National Park, a journey of about 5–6 hours.

Arrive in time for lunch and check-in at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge or similar facility. In the afternoon, head out for a game drive in the park, famous for its flamingos, white and black rhinos, and diverse birdlife. You may also encounter giraffes, zebras, and baboons among other species.

Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Lake Nakuru National Park– Nairobi

Begin the day with an early morning game drive, offering another opportunity to spot rhinos, buffaloes, and various bird species. Afterward, return to the lodge for breakfast.

Depart for Nairobi with an optional stop for lunch along the way (at own cost). Upon arrival in the city, you will be transferred to your hotel or to JKIA for your onward travel.
