You will be picked up early in the morning from Kigali and begin your scenic drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, which takes approximately 4–5 hours. Along the way, you will enjoy beautiful landscapes, rolling hills, and local villages. Upon arrival, you will check in at your lodge and have time to relax and prepare for the upcoming gorilla trekking adventure.

Day 2

First Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable

First Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable

After an early breakfast at your lodge, you will drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for your first gorilla trekking adventure. Guided by experienced trackers, you will trek through the dense and lush forest, listening to the sounds of birds, monkeys, and rustling leaves while enjoying the unique flora of Bwindi. The trek can last between 2 to 5 hours depending on the gorillas’ location, making it both an exciting and scenic experience. Once the gorilla family is located, you will spend a magical hour observing their behaviors, interactions, and playful moments up close. After the trek, you will return to your lodge to rest, have lunch, and reflect on this unforgettable encounter.

After breakfast, you will embark on your second gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi, visiting a different gorilla family. Following expert trackers, you will walk through the forest, enjoying the lush scenery, birdlife, and unique plant species that make Bwindi so special. Once you locate the gorillas, you will spend another extraordinary hour observing their social interactions, playful behaviors, and gentle movements. After the trek, you will return to your lodge for a short rest and lunch before beginning your scenic drive back to Rwanda. Along the way, enjoy the rolling hills, local villages, and breathtaking landscapes, arriving in Rwanda in the late afternoon or evening to check into your hotel and relax after two remarkable days of gorilla trekking.
