Spice Tour & Prison Island

The second day of the trip involves a morning guided tour of a spice farm, where participants can taste and learn about various spices such as cloves, vanilla, and cinnamon. This experience is a great way to understand the significance of spice production in Zanzibar, which has been a major spice producer for centuries. The spice farm tour is typically followed by an afternoon boat trip to Prison Island, a historic site that is now home to giant tortoises. Visitors can interact with these gentle creatures and snorkel in the crystal-clear waters surrounding the island.

On the third day, travelers begin with breakfast and check-out from their hotel in Stone Town before transferring to either Nungwi or Paje Beach, depending on their preference for the location of their beach resort. Nungwi is known for its vibrant atmosphere and is located on the northern tip of the island, while Paje is famous for its beautiful beaches and is situated on the eastern coast. The afternoon is free for relaxation by the beach or pool, with an optional sunset dhow cruise available for those interested in experiencing the local maritime culture.

Dolphin Watching and Jozani Forest Visit

The fourth day starts early with, where visitors have the opportunity to observe these marine mammals in their natural habitat and, if desired, swim with them. Following the dolphin tour, the group visits Jozani Forest, a protected area that is home to the endangered Red Colobus monkeys among other flora and fauna. The rest of the day is spent relaxing at the beach resort.
