Your adventure begins with a morning departure from Arusha, heading to Tarangire National Park—a scenic drive of around two hours. Known for its immense elephant populations and majestic baobab trees, Tarangire offers a classic introduction to Tanzania’s wildlife. Enjoy a full game drive, spotting giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, and lions along the riverbanks and open savannah. After your safari, exit the park and drive to the Manyara area for dinner and overnight at a lodge or tented camp near the Great Rift Valley escarpment.

After breakfast, head into Lake Manyara National Park for a morning game drive. Though smaller in size, this park offers rich biodiversity—from groundwater forests and open plains to the lake itself, frequented by flamingos, pelicans, and hippos. The forested areas are home to baboons, elephants, and if you're lucky, the park’s elusive tree-climbing lions. After a picnic lunch or lunch at your lodge, continue to nearby Karatu, a highland town nestled in the green hills outside the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Relax and enjoy the cooler evening air with dinner and overnight at a lodge in Karatu.

Depending on the season, you may witness part of the Great Migration, as wildebeest and zebras cross rivers and grasslands in search of fresh grazing. Morning and afternoon game drives give you the best chance to see predators like lions, hyenas, and possibly a leopard lounging in an acacia tree. Enjoy lunch in the bush or return to camp for a hot meal. In the evening, relax at your lodge with a sundowner and a well-earned dinner.
