Tranfer to Lake Nakuru National Park

Your safari begins with a 4–5 hour road trip from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) to Lake Nakuru National Park via the Nairobi–Nakuru Highway. Along the way, you may stop for refreshments and a short break. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge or camp, followed by an afternoon game drive. Expect to see a variety of wildlife and the park’s famous flocks of flamingos. Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Start early to catch animals at their most active and enjoy the peaceful savannah at dawn. You'll likely encounter lions, cheetahs, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, and wildebeests. A stop at the Mara River may reveal crocodiles, hippos, and—if it's the season—the famed wildebeest migration. Enjoy lunch in the bush or at your lodge before continuing the afternoon game drive. As the golden sun sets, return to camp and relax around a bonfire under the stars.
