Transfer from Entebbe to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Your safari begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Entebbe by your professional driver-guide. Prepare for a scenic 8 to 9 hour drive to the southwestern part of Uganda. Along the way, enjoy breathtaking views of Uganda’s countryside rolling green hills, traditional homesteads, and expansive tea and banana plantations.

En route, you’ll have a stop at the Equator line for photo opportunities and refreshments, followed by lunch enroute. Continue through the highlands of Kigezi, often referred to as the “Switzerland of Africa,” before arriving at Rushaga Gorilla Lodge, located near the southern sector of Bwindi.
Settle into your comfortable lodge with stunning views of the forest in preparation for the next day’s adventure.

Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

After an early breakfast, your guide will transfer you to the Bwindi park headquarters for a detailed gorilla trekking briefing. You’ll then join a group of trekkers and rangers to begin your journey into the dense forest. Gorilla trekking can take between 2 and 6 hours, depending on the location of the gorilla family you’re tracking. Once found, you’ll be allowed one unforgettable hour to observe these magnificent primates up close as they feed, interact, and move through the undergrowth.

After your trek, Later in the afternoon, you’ll be driven approximately 2 hours to Lake Bunyonyi, where you’ll check in to your accommodation, a peaceful mid-range retreat along the lakefront. You will have your packed lunch enroute.

Enjoy a relaxing evening by the lake, surrounded by terraced hills and the peaceful sound of birdsong. Optional activities include canoeing, bird watching, or simply relaxing with a drink by the lakeside.

Lake Bunyonyi Boat Tour and Return to Entebbe

Enjoy a leisurely morning breakfast with panoramic views of Lake Bunyonyi, often considered one of the most beautiful lakes in Africa. After breakfast, you’ll embark on a guided boat cruise, exploring some of the lake’s famous islands, such as Punishment Island, rich with historical significance, and others known for their scenic beauty and cultural stories.

After your lake excursion, begin the return drive to Entebbe, a journey of approximately 8–9 hours, You will enjoy your sweet mesmerizing packed lunch enroute. Depending on your schedule, your guide will drop you off directly at Entebbe International Airport for your evening departure.
