Transfer to Murchison Falls via the Rhino Sanctuary

You will enjoy a delicious breakfast before your driver-guide picks you up from your residence in Kampala, Entebbe, or at the airport, depending on your arrival time. After a brief orientation about the 3 days on safari, you will embark on a 6-hour drive to Murchison Falls National Park.

On the way, we will take a 7km (4mi) detour to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Here, you will have the opportunity to track rhinos, one of the Big Five. Rhinos had gone extinct in Uganda by 1982, but were successfully reintroduced in 2005 with the establishment of the sanctuary.

You will have lunch during your visit to the rhino sanctuary, and then continue your journey to the park. Upon arrival, you will check in at your lodge, enjoy dinner and spend the night.

Game drive, Boat Cruise and Hike

Start your day with breakfast before embarking on an early game drive at 6:30am. The game drive will take you through the stunning savannah plains, where you may encounter a variety of wildlife species, including warthogs, lions, leopards (if we are lucky), giraffes, hyenas and Uganda kobs.

Around 11:30am, you will return to the lodge to freshen up and enjoy lunch as you prepare for an impressive afternoon boat cruise.

On the boat, you will have the opportunity to see various bird species and animals, including Nile crocodiles, hippos, monitor lizards, and elephants, which come to the water to quench their thirst. The cruise will take you to the base of the Murchison Falls, where you will disembark and begin a 45-minute hike (depending on your pace) to the top of the falls. Along the way, you will experience breathtaking views of the waterfalls and the surrounding vegetation.

At the top of the falls, you will meet your driver guide, who will then transport you back to the lodge.

Return to the Airport or Hotel

You will wake up early in the morning, enjoy breakfast, and then go on another game drive to see more wildlife as we exit the park. After an amazing safari, we will start our journey back, stopping for lunch in Masindi. You can expect to arrive at your hotel or the airport in the late afternoon.
