Transfer from Rwanda to Bwindi via Volcanoes NP

Your day begins with an early pick-up from your hotel in Kigali at 5:00 AM for a transfer to the Park headquarters. Here, you’ll join fellow trekkers and receive a short briefing from a park ranger about golden monkey trekking and the park’s unique ecosystem. Around 8:00 AM, you'll drive to the trailhead just outside the park to begin your adventure.

As you trek through the bamboo forests on relatively gentle terrain, enjoy stunning mountain scenery while tracking the playful golden monkeys. These endangered primates often stay close to the park boundary and are known for their love of bamboo and occasional raids on local potato fields. You’ll spend an unforgettable hour observing their behavior as they feed and interact.

After the experience, return to the trailhead, enjoy lunch at the lodge, and proceed to the Uganda border for immigration clearance before continuing to Bwindi.

Bwindi Gorilla Trekking and Transfer to Kigali

After an early breakfast, you will head to the Bwindi briefing point for your gorilla trekking experience. Once assigned to a group, you’ll venture into the forest in search of a gorilla family, spending one unforgettable hour with them once located. After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch, then begin your scenic transfer back to Kigali. You’ll cross the border, complete immigration procedures, and continue to your hotel or Kigali International Airport, marking the end of your journey.
