Nairobi to Masai Mara Game Reserve

At 0800hrs join the others and begin your adventure with a morning departure from Nairobi, driving through the scenic Great Rift Valley with a stopover for photography and refreshments. Arrive in Masai Mara in time for lunch at your lodge or camp. In the late afternoon, embark on your first game drive across the Mara’s vast plains, home to the iconic Big Five and countless other wildlife species. As the sun sets, return to your accommodation for dinner and a peaceful night in the wild.

Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha

Early breakfast. Proceed for a game drive in this beautiful park. This shallow soda lake has been famous for its flamingos but has also retained its reputation as an ornithologists’ delight with more than 400 species of bird found here. You may get out of the vehicle at the lake shore to get a closer look at the birds. The nearby cliffs offer sightings of baboons, birds of prey and scurrying hyraxes, as well as great views of the park. The national park covers 180 sq km and is home to warthogs, waterbuck, buffaloes, reedbucks, and the occasional leopard as well as white and black rhinos which were introduced to the park some years ago. Later drive to the nearby Lake Naivasha Lunch enroute. The afternoon offers a chance to explore the serene waters of the lake on a guided boat ride, where you can spot hippos, fish eagles, and a variety of water birds. An optional visit to Crescent Island for a guided nature walk can be arranged. Dinner and overnight will be at your lodge near the lake.
