Your adventure begins with a scenic road transfer from Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve, located in Kenya’s rugged northern region. The drive takes approximately 5–6 hours, offering changing landscapes, from the lush central highlands to the dry, dramatic terrain of Samburu.
Travel in a private 4x4 pop-up roof Land Cruiser, ensuring comfort and great visibility throughout the journey. Along the way, pass through traditional Kikuyu farmlands and enjoy glimpses of Mount Kenya in the distance.
Upon arrival in Samburu, settle in Sarova Shaba lodge and begin exploring this unique reserve, home to rare northern species like the Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, and the graceful gerenuk, collectively known as the Samburu Special Five.

Spend the day immersed in the wild beauty of Samburu National Reserve, starting with an early morning game drive when wildlife is most active. Spot rare species unique to the region, including the reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, beisa oryx, and the long-necked gerenuk.
Return to the lodge for a leisurely breakfast and some downtime. In the afternoon, head out for another game drive or choose to visit a nearby Samburu village for a glimpse into the local culture and traditions.

After a delicious breakfast, check out of Sarova Shaba and begin your journey to Serena Sweetwaters in Nanyuki. Upon arrival, enjoy a delightful lunch before heading out for an exciting afternoon game drive at Ol Pajeta Conservancy. A major highlight spotting the only two remaining Northern White Rhinos in the world, a truly unforgettable experience. Also visit the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, where you will observe rescued chimpanzees in a safe, natural habitat. As the sun sets, return to Serena Sweetwaters for a relaxing dinner and restful night, preparing for more adventure tomorrow. You can also opt for a night game drive upon request at an extra cost.

After enjoying a hearty breakfast at Serena Sweetwaters, you'll check out and begin your scenic drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. Upon arrival, you'll check in at the luxurious Sarova Lion Hill Lodge, perfectly nestled inside the park. From the comfort of your room, you might even spot wildlife roaming nearby, nature right at your doorstep.
After a delicious lunch, you'll head out for an afternoon game drive through the breathtaking landscapes of Nakuru. This park is a true gem, known for its shimmering lake, diverse wildlife, and vibrant birdlife, including thousands of flamingos painting the shores pink. After breakfast, check out from Sarova Mara Game Camp and begin your journey back to Nairobi. En route, stop at the beautiful Lake Naivasha for a relaxing boat ride, where you’ll glide past hippos and spot a variety of birdlife, including African fish eagles.
Enjoy a leisurely lunch at a lakeside restaurant before continuing the drive to Nairobi, arriving in the late afternoon or early evening.
You’ll be dropped off at your preferred location hotel, airport, or residence marking the end of a memorable Kenyan safari experience.
