Continue your drive through Uganda’s scenic countryside, passing picturesque rolling hills, banana plantations, and traditional villages. Enjoy a relaxing lunch in Mbarara, a lively town in western Uganda. After lunch, proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park, arriving in the late afternoon. If time permits, embark on a sunset game drive, where you may spot elephants, antelopes, buffaloes, or even a leopard. Soak in the stunning views of the savannah as the day winds down. This scenic drive offers the perfect introduction to Uganda’s rich landscapes and wildlife.

Day 2

Wake up early for a thrilling morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Explore the Kasenyi Plains, where you’re likely to spot lions, elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, warthogs, and a variety of birds. The early hours offer the best chance to see predators on the move. Return to the lodge for a late breakfast and some relaxation. In the afternoon, head out for a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, a highlight of the park. This scenic waterway connects Lake Edward and Lake George and is famous for its high concentration of hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and countless water birds, including pelicans, fish eagles, and kingfishers. The boat ride offers incredible photography opportunities and a unique perspective of the park’s wildlife.

Day 3
Chimpanzee trekking and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Begin your day with an early breakfast before heading to the breathtaking Kyambura Gorge for an exciting chimpanzee trekking experience. Descend into the “Valley of Apes,” a lush forested gorge carved into the savannah, and track a troop of wild chimps in their natural habitat. Along the way, you may also spot monkeys, birds, and other forest wildlife. After the trek, return to the lodge to freshen up and have an early lunch or packed meal.
In the afternoon, set off for a scenic drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home of the endangered mountain gorillas. Enjoy stunning views of terraced hills, winding roads, and traditional homesteads along the way. Arrive in Bwindi in the evening and check in at your lodge, nestled in the misty highlands near the forest.

Day 4

After an early breakfast, begin your day with the awe-inspiring gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Following a safety briefing, embark on a thrilling trek through thick, misty jungle—your heart racing with anticipation as you search for the elusive mountain gorillas. The trek lasts 2 to 6 hours, winding through lush vegetation and vibrant birdlife. Once found, spend an unforgettable one hour observing these gentle giants interact in their natural home, sharing the experience with other trekkers. Enjoy a packed lunch ( or we shall have lunch from the lodge) after this life-changing encounter.
In the afternoon, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, one of Africa’s deepest lakes, dotted with 29 magical islands. Take a serene canoe ride exploring the tranquil waters, and if time permits, enjoy a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear, safe waters before settling in for the evening.

Return to Kampala
Return to Kampala
Enjoy a relaxed breakfast beside the serene waters of Lake Bunyonyi, taking in the morning mist and peaceful sounds of nature. If time allows, you can take part in an optional cultural visit to the Batwa community, the indigenous forest dwellers who once lived in Bwindi. Engage with their traditions, music, and storytelling—a moving experience that adds depth to your journey.
Afterward, begin your scenic drive back to Kampala or Entebbe, passing through Uganda’s rolling hills, terraced farmlands, and lively roadside towns. A lunch stop will be made en route. Expect to arrive in the evening with unforgettable memories of Uganda’s wildlife, landscapes, and people.
