Your safari begins with an early morning departure from Kampala, heading west through Uganda’s beautiful countryside. Along the way, you’ll stop at the Equator for photos and a brief cultural experience before continuing to Mbarara for lunch. Afterward, drive through the rolling hills of western Uganda toward Queen Elizabeth National Park. Arrive in the late afternoon and check in at your lodge, where you can relax and enjoy sweeping views of the savannah. Enjoy dinner and prepare for your first full day of adventure in the park tomorrow.

Day 2

Game Drive and Boat Cruise

Game Drive and Boat Cruise

Start your day with an early morning game drive through the Kasenyi plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park, an area rich in wildlife including lions, elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kob, and warthogs. After breakfast back at the lodge, spend time relaxing before heading to the Kazinga Channel for an afternoon boat cruise. This 2-hour journey offers incredible sightings of hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and numerous bird species along the riverbanks. Return to the lodge for dinner and an evening at leisure, surrounded by the peaceful sounds of the African wilderness.

After breakfast, depart Queen Elizabeth National Park and head south toward Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The journey takes you through the scenic landscapes of terraced hills and rural villages. Lunch is served en route. Spend the evening relaxing and preparing for the next day’s gorilla trekking adventure, one of the most unforgettable wildlife experiences in Africa.

Hike through thick forest terrain in search of a habituated gorilla family, a journey that can take anywhere from 2 to 6 hours. Once located, spend one magical hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat. After the trek, enjoy lunch and then transfer to the tranquil shores of Lake Bunyonyi. Check in at your lakeside lodge and unwind with views of the islands, optional canoe rides, or a refreshing swim.
