In the afternoon, embark on a relaxing boat cruise on Lake Ihema, one of Akagera's largest lakes, where you'll encounter hippos, Nile crocodiles, and a variety of water birds including African fish eagles, kingfishers, herons, and cormorants. Later, head out for an evening game drive as wildlife becomes more active. Look out for elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and, with some luck, lions and other predators.
