Dar es Salaam to Selous Afternoon Boat Safari

Your safari adventure begins with a morning pickup from Dar es Salaam and a scenic 5–6 hour drive to Nyerere National Park. After checking in and having lunch at your lodge or camp, enjoy a refreshing break before heading out for an afternoon boat safari on the Rufiji River.
Watch hippos, crocodiles, water birds, and elephants as the sun sets over the river a peaceful and breathtaking introduction to the Selous ecosystem.

Your guide will help you search for lions, elephants, wild dogs, giraffes, buffalos, antelope species, and more. The reserve is teeming with wildlife and every game drive offers unique sightings.

After breakfast, head out for a half-day game drive, exploring new tracks and increasing your chances of spotting different animals and birds. Around midday venture to Kabuli la Selous, a beautiful natural site where hot springs emerge from the earth.
This secluded, steamy oasis offers a moment of relaxation and awe perfect for stretching your legs, taking photos, and soaking in the natural energy of Selous.
Return to camp in the afternoon for rest and dinner.

Morning Walking Safari & Afternoon Game Drive
