Dar es Salaam to Selous Game Reserve & Sunset Boat Safari

Your journey begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel or residence in Dar es Salaam. You’ll then embark on a scenic drive (approx. 4–5 hours) to Selous, passing through rural Tanzanian landscapes. Upon arrival at the lodge, enjoy a hot lunch and some time to rest. In the late afternoon, head out for a sunset boat safari on the Rufiji River. Expect stunning views of crocodiles basking, hippos wading, and colorful birdlife as the sun dips below the horizon. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Full-Day Game Drive in Selous Game Reserve

After breakfast, depart for a full-day game drive inside one of Africa’s largest and most unspoiled wildlife reserves. You’ll explore a mix of woodlands, riverine areas, and open plains in search of elephants, lions, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, impalas, and possibly wild dogs. Midway through the day, enjoy a picnic lunch in a scenic spot within the reserve before continuing the adventure. After an exciting day of wildlife viewing, return to the lodge for dinner and a good night’s rest.

Walking Safari & Return to Dar es Salaam

Start your final day with a guided bush walk led by an armed ranger and experienced naturalist. This intimate experience lets you learn about the smaller wonders of the bush tracks, plants, and insects, while also encountering wildlife on foot. After the walk, return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast. Later, begin your drive back to Dar es Salaam, arriving in the late afternoon, marking the end of your unforgettable Selous adventure.
