Day 1
Nairobi to Masai Mara
Nairobi to Masai Mara
Our safari begins with a morning departure from Nairobi, heading southwest through the breathtaking Great Rift Valley — a massive geological wonder offering dramatic escarpments, lush vegetation, and sweeping views of the valley floor. You'll make a brief stop at a viewpoint to soak in the beauty of this ancient rift before continuing to Masai Mara National Reserve, one of Africa’s most iconic wildlife destinations.
After arriving at your lodge or camp in time for lunch, you'll head out for your first afternoon game drive. Masai Mara is home to the famous Big Five — lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, and rhinos — along with cheetahs, zebras, wildebeest, hyenas, jackals, and a variety of antelope species. During the migration season (July–October), the plains come alive with over a million wildebeest and zebras crossing from Tanzania in search of greener pastures. You’ll return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.
