Day 1

Starting with an 8:00 AM pickup from your hotel in Arusha, your day begins at 8:30 AM with a visit to Shanga Workshop, where artisans with disabilities craft beautiful handmade glassware, jewelry, and other artisan products, offering you a chance to see their creative process and shop for souvenirs. At 10:00 AM, you’ll explore the Arusha Cultural Heritage Centre to learn about Tanzania’s diverse ethnic traditions through crafts, music, dance, and live demonstrations. By 11:30 AM, you’ll stroll through the vibrant Arusha local market to experience daily life, browse fresh produce, spices, textiles, and handicrafts, and interact with locals. After enjoying a traditional Tanzanian lunch at 12:30 PM, the tour continues at 2:00 PM with a visit to the Arusha National Museum, where you’ll discover exhibits on archaeology and ethnography, including fossils and historical artifacts. Finally, at 3:30 PM, your guide will drive you back to your hotel, concluding the cultural city tour.
