Your adventure begins in the morning with a pick-up from Kigoma town or Kigoma Airport, followed by a scenic 1.5 to 2-hour boat transfer across the sparkling waters of Lake Tanganyika to Gombe National Park. Upon arrival, you’ll check in at your accommodations, then enjoy a freshly prepared lunch. In the afternoon, set out on your first chimpanzee trekking experience with an experienced park guide, venturing through the thick tropical forest in search of Gombe’s famous chimpanzees. Along the way, you may also encounter red-tailed and colobus monkeys, olive baboons, and a variety of bird species. Return to your accommodation in the evening for a delicious dinner and relaxation by the lakeside.

After an early breakfast, enjoy a relaxed morning at the camp, taking in the serene forest surroundings and the sounds of nature. Depending on time and your preference, you may opt for a gentle lakeside walk or a visit to the scenic Kakombe Waterfall. After returning to camp, enjoy an early lunch and prepare for your return journey by boat to Kigoma. You will arrive in the afternoon, with drop-off at your hotel or Kigoma Airport, concluding your short but unforgettable safari in one of Africa’s most unique wildlife destinations.
