You will be picked from the airport or place of accommodation and on your way you will enjoy a guided city tour, visit the selected interesting historical sites, including the Kigali Memorial Centre. Have a lunch break in the capital city before we proceed to the most beautiful national park of the country: Volcanoes National Park significant for its rich mountain ecosystems, from bamboo forest to open grassland and swamps. After the days tour you will head back to the hotel for a delicious dinner and relaxation.

Golden monkeys & iby'wacu Experience

You will have a hearty breakfast in the morning then after start an easy trek of about 1-2hrs where you will encounter the endangered golden monkeys. Golden Monkeys are a rare type of old-world monkeys found in only the Virunga Mountain Range. The golden monkeys are always in a group of 90 led my one adult male. The are two groups of golden Monkeys of which one group has about 80-100 members located at the foot of Mt. Sabyinyo.
Then after you will have a drive to the Gorilla guardian Village(Iby’Iwacu cultural village), here you will be welcomed by former poacher-turned conservationists who will be dancing traditional dances, sharing stories and insights into the efforts to protect the wildlife of Rwanda’s Gorillas. Get the drum rhythm experience in circles, taste local banana beer and also try out the hand basket weaving, you will feel the immerse heartbeat of the Rwandan culture, later drive back to your Lodge for a natural mountain air feel and view.

Gorilla Tracking

You will have the opportunity to spend some time with the endangered mountain gorillas. You will make a beautiful hike through the green landscape and hills of the Virunga Volcanoes. Spend a magical hour with these amazing creatures while your guide will explain more about the family and their behaviour.

Dian Fossey & Airport Transfer

Start your day with an early morning breakfast, after which you will have a scenery drive through Rwanda to Volcanoes National Park headquarters for a briefing about the day’s activities until when you reach the time for heading to the airport. After the briefing you will embark on a 5hr trek through the trails of the dense forest filled with nature’s sounds from chirping birds, falling leaves and a Gorilla call. Naleyo Tours and Travels guide will be narrating to you about the amazing story of Dian Fossey’s Life while she was still alive and how she bonded with the life of Gorillas, fought with the poachers plus all findings she discovered during her time with the gorillas. Shortly you will arrive at her Tomb stone, beside the Karisoke Research Centre. After all the amazing inspiring stories and experiences about Dian Fossey, you will have refreshments(lunch) and after our tour guide will drive you straight to the Airport.
