Arusha, known as Tanzania’s safari capital, is a lively city fueled by tourism. Your driver-guide will meet you in Arusha or at Arusha Airport, and you'll begin your journey to Tarangire National Park. Named after the Tarangire River, the park is a vital water source and home to large elephant herds, abundant birdlife, and a truly authentic safari experience. After enjoying a packed lunch, you'll continue with an afternoon game drive before heading to Ngare Lodge for the night.

Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha

After a restful night, today is all about lions. Enjoy an early breakfast before checking out and heading to Lake Manyara National Park. Covering around 330km²—200km² of which can be lake during peak water levels—this park is a haven for wildlife. You'll witness vast flocks of pink flamingos, herds of elephants, and possibly spot the park’s famous tree-climbing lions.

Explore the park’s unique mix of ecosystems, including lush groundwater forests, before beginning your journey back to Arusha in the mid-afternoon. You'll return with unforgettable memories—and plenty of photos—from your African safari adventure.
