3-Day Gombe Chimpanzee Trekking from Dar Es Salaam Tour

Morning Flight from Dar Es Salaam to Kigoma/ Then Transfer by Boat to Gombe National Park

Today, you will have a flight departing from Dar Es Salaam airport (Terminal 2) at 05:40 AM flight to Kigoma.

7:40 AM – Arrive in Kigoma, meet our driver, and transfer to Mambo Leo for a hearty hot breakfast overlooking Lake Tanganyika.
9:00 AM – Depart by boat for a scenic one-hour cruise across the lake to Gombe National Park, enjoying dramatic shoreline and forest views. On arrival, check in at your lodge and unwind in the heart of nature.
Afternoon – Enjoy lunch followed by leisure time. Swim in the clear lake waters, relax on the beach, or take in the peaceful surroundings.
3:00 PM – Head out on a guided waterfall hike, trekking through lush forest trails where primates are often spotted. Refresh with a swim beneath the waterfall before returning to the lodge.
Optional – If time allows, enjoy kayaking on the lake and a stunning sunset over the water.
7:00 PM – 9:00 PM – Dinner is served, followed by quiet evening relaxation accompanied by forest sounds.

Chimpanzee Trekking in Gombe National Park / Boat Ride to Kigoma City

7:00 AM – Breakfast at camp, then head to park HQ for registration and meet your guide.

Trek into dense forest, climbing steep ridges and winding valleys in search of wild chimpanzees. Your guide will share stories of the communities studied by Jane Goodall since 1960. Expect encounters with baboons, monkeys, colorful birds, and unique plants. The trek lasts 4–6 hours, promising an unforgettable, immersive experience.

Afternoon – Return to camp for lunch, then relax on the beach, swim, or simply soak in the serene forest and lake views before dinner.

Transfer by Air from Kigoma to Dar Es Salaam

You'll wake up to a stunning view of Lake Tanganyika and enjoy breakfast at 6:00 AM.

After breakfast, our driver will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to Kigoma Airport for your 8:30 AM flight to Dar es Salaam.

Upon arrival at 10:40 AM, you will meet our driver, who will transfer you to your hotel in Dar es Salaam.
