Our local representative will pick you up at your accommodation this morning and take you to Montagu, a charming spa town, on your way to the "Little Karoo." Savour tea and scones in South Africa's only original Art Deco hotel. Make a stop at Barrydale, where we will have the chance to visit a nearby farm school, engage with the students and faculty, spend time in the classroom with them, and discover more about this little town. Our Barrydale Farm School Development Fund, which supports local education for disadvantaged children in rural communities, receives a share of the trip proceeds. If the school is open, the school visit will take place. Before going on to Oudtshoorn, the "ostrich feather capital" and the epicenter of the global ostrich farming industry, taste some of the best port-style wines in Calitzdorp.
