Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be warmly received by our company representative. After clearing customs and exchanging currency into the local Rwandan Francs, you’ll be transferred to your hotel for a well-deserved rest. During the drive, your driver-guide will provide a detailed briefing about the safari itinerary and what to expect in the days ahead.

Day 2
Explore Volcanoes National Park & Scenic Twin Lakes
Explore Volcanoes National Park & Scenic Twin Lakes
After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, you will check out and begin a guided city tour of Kigali. Highlights include a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial at Gisozi, exploration of vibrant local markets, and lunch at a restaurant of your choice within the city. Following the tour, you’ll set off on a scenic drive to Musanze.
As you travel, take in the stunning Rwandan landscapes, with rolling hills and wide plains offering picturesque views along the way. Upon arrival in Musanze, you’ll check in at your lodge and have time to relax and enjoy the property’s amenities.
In the evening, you’ll have the option to visit the scenic Twin Lakes of Burera and Ruhondo. These lakes are surrounded by steep, lush hills and offer breathtaking views of the Virunga Volcanoes, weather permitting. The area is ideal for nature walks and birdwatching. You’ll then return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3
Bisoke Hike Experience and Cultural Experience
Bisoke Hike Experience and Cultural Experience
After breakfast, you’ll head to the RDB Headquarters for a briefing over a cup of coffee or tea. You’ll then join other hikers for an exciting trek to the summit of Mount Bisoke, known for its scenic crater lake at the top. The hike typically takes about 4 hours to ascend and 2 hours to descend, offering beautiful views along the way.
After returning to your lodge or hotel for lunch and some rest, your afternoon will be filled with culture and local tradition during a visit to the Gorilla Guardians Village, formerly known as the Iby’iwacu Cultural Village. Here, you’ll enjoy lively music, storytelling, and an introduction to Rwandan customs and way of life. You’re welcome to join in the traditional dances—it’s a fun and interactive experience!
Later, you’ll return to your lodge for dinner and overnight relaxation.

After breakfast, you’ll head to the park headquarters for a briefing before beginning your Golden Monkey trekking experience. Accompanied by expert guides, you’ll venture into the forest to observe these lively and endangered primates. Once located, you’ll spend an unforgettable hour watching them in their natural habitat.
After the trek, return to your lodge to check out. You’ll then begin the journey back to Kigali, stopping for lunch along the way and enjoying some final souvenir shopping in the city. Later, you’ll be transferred to Kigali International Airport for your departure.
