You will have breakfast at 7:00 am and depart for Masai Mara National Reserve, arriving in time for lunch and later proceeding for check-in. Masai Mara National Reserve remains one of the few places on earth where wildlife still lives comparatively undisturbed in the numbers that once roamed the plains and forests all over Africa. As the northern tip of the vast Serengeti ecosystem, the Mara hosts the spectacular seasonal migration of thousands of wildebeest, zebras, and attendant predators. After lunch, you will enjoy an afternoon game drive.

After breakfast, proceed on a full day of game viewing within the reserve. The landscape here is scenic savannah grassland on rolling hills. The Mara is one of the best parks for game viewing in Kenya, with an extensive road and track network that allows for close-range viewing and photography. Break for a picnic lunch at the hippo pool, where you can watch hippos and crocodiles. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the camp.

Day 3

After breakfast at the camp, you will depart the Masai Mara region for Nairobi, with lunch en route. You will be dropped off at the hotel, where your accommodations are booked on a bed and breakfast basis. Prepare to be picked up by your shuttle driver for your transfer to Tanzania tomorrow.

Day 4

Depart from Nairobi in the morning by shuttle to Arusha. Arrive at the Namanga border for immigration procedures, then continue to Arusha, arriving in the afternoon. Your overnight stay will be at the hotel on a bed and breakfast basis as you prepare to start the Tanzanian portion of your safari.

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and driven to Serengeti National Park with lunch en route. Later, you will proceed to the Serengeti plains for afternoon game drives. The Serengeti is the oldest and most popular national park in Tanzania. It is famous for the Great Migration when wildebeest, zebras, and Thomson’s gazelles join the trek in search of fresh grazing. The park is also home to buffalo, giraffe, eland, topi, impala, Grant’s gazelle, lions, cheetahs, leopards, and African jackals. Your overnight stay will be at the camp.
