Day 1
Tarangire national park
Tarangire national park
After breakfast, depart Arusha and drive approximately 2 hours to Tarangire National Park. Known for its massive baobab trees, ancient and towering across the savannah, and large elephant herds, this park provides a fantastic start to your safari. Tarangire is traversed by the Tarangire River, which draws animals year-round. During the dry season, it becomes one of the best places in Tanzania to see a large concentration of wildlife — elephants, wildebeest, zebras, buffalo, lions, and more. Over 550 bird species have been recorded here, making it a paradise for bird lovers. Enjoy a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch and later drive to Karatu for overnight.

Day 2
Ngorongoro crater
Ngorongoro crater
After an early breakfast, head to the world-renowned Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s most iconic wildlife destinations. Descend 600 meters into the crater, a vast volcanic caldera formed over 2 million years ago, now home to around 25,000 animals. The crater is one of the best places to spot the Big Five, especially the rare black rhino. You'll also find lions, hyenas, hippos, elephants, and huge herds of antelope and wildebeest. Enjoy a picnic lunch near a hippo pool, with views of the crater walls rising in every direction. In the afternoon, ascend and return to your lodge in Karatu.

Day 3
Lake Manyara National Park
Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, check out and drive to Lake Manyara National Park, located at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Although small, the park is incredibly diverse, with dense groundwater forest, open savanna, marshland, and the lake itself — home to seasonal flamingos and pelicans. Highlights include large troops of baboons, blue monkeys, elephants in the forest, and the famous (though elusive) tree-climbing lions. The variety of habitats packed into this compact area makes it a great final stop. After a half-day game drive and picnic lunch, drive back to Arusha in the afternoon, marking the end of your 3-day safari.
