Kigali City Tour & Transfer to Nyungwe

Meet and greet your tour guide for a warm welcome to Rwanda. At 9:00 AM, you'll be picked up from your hotel in Kigali and begin a guided city tour. Explore the powerful Kigali Genocide Memorial, offering insight into Rwanda’s history, followed by a visit to the vibrant Kimironko Market, where locals sell fresh produce, crafts, and textiles.

After the city tour, depart for Nyungwe National Park. Enjoy scenic views of Rwanda’s rolling hills, with a stop for lunch en route (at your own expense).

In the evening, arrive at the Guesthouse, check in, and relax. Enjoy dinner at the lodge and rest for the night in preparation for the exciting chimpanzee trekking and zipline adventure the next day.

Chimpanzee trekking and Zipline

Wake up early and pick up your packed breakfast at 4:30 AM. Depart for Cyamudongo Forest, a section of Nyungwe known for its thriving chimpanzee population.

At 5:00 AM, enjoy your breakfast before beginning the chimpanzee trekking experience. Guided by expert trackers, you’ll hike through dense rainforest to observe these fascinating primates in their natural habitat. The trek typically lasts 4–5 hours, depending on the location of the chimpanzees.

After returning to the base, head to a nearby restaurant for lunch (at your own expense). Take time to relax and recharge.

In the afternoon, proceed to Uwinka Visitor Center for an exciting zipline adventure, gliding above the forest canopy for approximately 2 hours.

Return to the Guesthouse in the evening. Enjoy dinner, unwind, and rest after a full day of adventure.

Arrive in Kigali in the afternoon—your guide will drop you off at your hotel or Kigali International Airport.
