Your safari begins with a drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its striking baobab-dotted landscapes and its large elephant populations. Game drives take you through river valleys and open woodlands where you might spot lions, giraffes, wildebeest, zebras, and many bird species. The Tarangire River, often the only water source in the dry season, draws animals from across the region, making for incredible wildlife viewing. After a day of exploration, you’ll travel to your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, you’ll make your way to the legendary Serengeti, passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area en route. Upon entering the Serengeti, the vast, open plains immediately immerse you in the wild. You’ll enjoy an afternoon game drive as you search for lions, cheetahs, elephants, and possibly the Great Migration depending on the season. As the sun sets, you’ll head to your tented camp or lodge in the heart of the Serengeti for an overnight stay under the stars.

Day 4

Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, you’ll leave the Serengeti behind and drive toward the Ngorongoro Crater. Upon arrival, you’ll descend 600 meters into the crater for a half-day game drive in one of the most unique and densely populated wildlife areas on earth. From black rhinos and massive bull elephants to lions and flocks of flamingos, the crater offers spectacular biodiversity. After lunch, you'll ascend and continue to the town of Karatu on the crater’s outskirts, where you’ll check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Your final day takes you to the compact but incredibly diverse Lake Manyara National Park. Known for its lush forest, hot springs, and tree-climbing lions, the park offers a great variety of ecosystems and wildlife including baboons, hippos, and flamingos. After a leisurely game drive and picnic lunch, you’ll begin your drive back to Arusha or directly to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure, ending your incredible 5-day journey through Tanzania’s most iconic safari landscapes.
