After an early morning breakfast, you will be met by a Gorilla Explorers representative and transferred to Lake Mburo National Park. The journey is approximately 4-5 hours, offering scenic views of the Ugandan countryside. Lake Mburo is known for its large populations of zebras, impalas, and various bird species. Activities include an afternoon game drive and an optional boat safari on Lake Mburo.

Today marks an exciting adventure that many of you have eagerly anticipated. We will embark on a full-day expedition to track the magnificent mountain gorillas in Bwindi Forest National Park. The day will begin with a briefing, where our knowledgeable guides will explain the essential gorilla trekking rules to ensure the safety of both guests and gorillas.
After the briefing, we’ll venture into the Impenetrable Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its dense vegetation and rich biodiversity. Our guides will lead us along winding trails, pointing out various plants and animals as we look for signs of gorilla movement, such as broken branches and nests.
After this experience, we’ll return to our accommodations in Bwindi National Park, where you can relax and reflect on the day’s adventures. Enjoy a cozy evening filled with stories from our trek, making this day truly memorable.

We will begin our morning with an exciting game drive, where we can expect to see a variety of wildlife, including elephants, buffalo, side-striped jackals, hyenas, leopards, lions, warthogs, Uganda kobs, and giant forest hogs. What a fantastic way to start the day!
After lunch, we will enjoy a boat trip along the Kazinga Channel, continuing our wildlife spotting. This time, we can look forward to seeing hippos, buffalo, crocodiles, bathing elephants, and a range of beautiful birds. This will undoubtedly be another highlight of your tour.

Following lunch, engage in a guided nature walk in the Bigodi Swamp wetland, where you will encounter a diverse range of wildlife, including various bird species, olive baboons, bush babies, and sitatunga.

After breakfast, transfer to Murchison Falls National Park (approximately 6-7 hours). The journey is long but scenic, passing through the Ugandan countryside. We will take in the stunning views of the Ugandan countryside while leaving Kibale National Park behind. Our route will pass through the key towns of Hoima and Fort Portal, and we expect to arrive at Murchison Falls National Park in the early evening, ready to continue our adventure. Check into your lodge and enjoy the evening at leisure.

This Murchison Falls safari goes beyond the land—prepare for a rejuvenating boat trip on the iconic River Nile in the afternoon. Keep your eyes peeled; you’ll have the opportunity to see crocodiles, hippos, and an impressive array of rare birds. One of the trip’s highlights will be witnessing the merging of the River Nile and Lake Albert.
Experience the sheer power of the falls as the spray invigorates your senses and the thunderous roar of the water captivates you. Following the boat trip, you’ll hike to the renowned "Top of the Falls," where you can absorb the stunning views of Murchison Falls along the Nile River—this is the perfect opportunity for you to capture breathtaking photographs. Our adventure begins at 8 am when we will transfer from Murchison Falls to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, home to the only wild rhinos in Uganda. Rhinos became extinct in Uganda in the early 1980s, and the Ziwa site is being used as a breeding site for black and white rhinos. During our 2 hours at the sanctuary, we will see these creatures roaming around the 7,000 hectares of land and see their daily interactions.
As we leave the rhinos behind, we will proceed to Entebbe/ Kampala, and this will mark the end of your safari adventure.
