Day 2

After breakfast at the hotel, begin your day with a guided visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial, a powerful and moving tribute to the victims of the 1994 genocide. Through emotional exhibits, photographs, and survivor testimonies, you'll gain a deeper understanding of Rwanda’s history, resilience, and journey toward healing and reconciliation.

Following this important visit, depart Kigali and begin your scenic road transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in southwestern Uganda. Enjoy the changing landscapes as you travel through rolling hills, rural villages, and lush greenery, crossing the Rwanda–Uganda border en route.

Border formalities will be handled with assistance from your guide to ensure a smooth transition. Continue to your lodge near Bwindi, where you’ll check in, relax, and enjoy dinner.

Day 3

Rise early for a hearty breakfast before heading to the Bwindi National Park headquarters for a pre-trek briefing by park rangers. After being assigned to a gorilla family group, set off on a once-in-a-lifetime gorilla trekking adventure through the dense rainforest. The trek can take anywhere from 2 to 6 hours, depending on the location of the gorillas, but the reward is unforgettable—spending a magical hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat.

After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch and some rest.

In the afternoon, immerse yourself in local heritage with a visit to the Batwa community—the forest’s original inhabitants. Learn about their traditional lifestyle, hunting techniques, music, dance, and deep connection to the forest, offering a rich cultural perspective to complement your wildlife experience.

Return to the lodge for dinner and an evening at leisure, reflecting on an unforgettable day.

After breakfast, check out from your lodge and begin your scenic drive back to Kigali. Enjoy the beautiful views of the countryside and rural life along the way as you cross back into Rwanda, with assistance from your guide at the border.

Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time for a brief stop for lunch or some last-minute souvenir shopping in Kigali.

You’ll then be dropped off at Kigali International Airport for your onward flight, marking the end of your memorable Rwanda–Uganda adventure.
