Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you'll be warmly welcomed by your driver/guide and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. After check-in and some relaxation, you will meet your mountain guide for a detailed briefing about the upcoming climb and a thorough gear check. Later, enjoy dinner at the hotel and rest in preparation for the trek ahead.

Day 2
Begin the Climb – Arusha to Marangu Gate and Trek to Mandara Hut

After breakfast and check-out, you’ll drive to the Marangu Gate where you'll complete registration formalities before starting your trek through the lush rainforest of Mount Kilimanjaro. The trail offers scenic views, diverse flora and fauna, and the chance to spot blue monkeys along the way. Upon arrival at Mandara Hut, you'll have time to rest or take a short walk to explore Maundi Crater. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hut, marking the first night on the mountain.

After breakfast at Mandara Hut, begin your ascent through scenic moorland terrain, where the trail winds through giant heathers and open landscapes with sweeping views of the mountain. You’ll arrive at Horombo Hut in the afternoon, where you can rest and begin acclimatizing to the higher altitude.

Spend the rest of the day resting and preparing for the final ascent. An early dinner will be served before you head to bed for a few hours of sleep ahead of the midnight summit attempt.

The most challenging and rewarding day begins shortly after midnight with a warm drink and light snack before starting the slow, steady ascent under the stars. The trail climbs past Gilman’s Point on the crater rim and continues to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa at 5,895 meters. Celebrate your incredible achievement and take in the stunning sunrise from the Roof of Africa. After a short time at the summit, descend back to Kibo Hut for a brief rest and a light meal. You’ll then continue your descent to Horombo Hut, where dinner and a well-deserved overnight stay await.

From there, transfer back to Arusha where you can relax, enjoy a hot shower, and reflect on your journey. The day ends with a hearty dinner and a comfortable overnight stay at your hotel.
