Your journey kicks off in Kigali, widely regarded as one of Africa’s cleanest and most welcoming cities. Once you've met your guide, you'll embark on a brief city tour to delve into Rwanda’s rich cultural and political history.

During the tour, you might visit:
The Kigali Genocide Memorial – a deeply powerful and moving tribute to the victims of the 1994 genocide.
You'll also drive through both the historic and modern neighborhoods of Kigali, witnessing the city's unique blend of old and new.
After lunch, you'll continue your journey to Musanze, the charming gateway town to Volcanoes National Park. If time allows, we'll make a stop at the Twin Lakes Burera and Ruhondo, where you can enjoy breathtaking views set against the backdrop of the majestic Virunga Volcanoes. Your accommodation for the night is a highly rated and comfortable mid-range lodge conveniently located near Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda.

Day 2

After an early breakfast, we head to Kinigi Park Headquarters for your golden monkey briefing. These vibrant, playful primates live in the park's bamboo zones, and their tracking is a fun, moderately easy trek suitable for all. You'll spend an unforgettable hour observing their curious behavior.

Following the trek and lunch, we drive to the Rwanda-Uganda border. After immigration, we continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, famed for its dense rainforest and large population of mountain gorillas.

Tonight, you'll stay at Chameleon Hill Lodge. This unique lodge is a true highlight, known for its kaleidoscopic architecture and stunning panoramic views over Lake Mutanda. It's designed to be a feast for the eyes, with each room featuring different colors and artistic touches, creating a whimsical and luxurious atmosphere. Staying here provides a distinct blend of comfort, creativity, and breathtaking natural beauty, making it a memorable part of your safari.

Day 3

Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi & Return to Kigali

Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi & Return to Kigali

Today is the highlight of your trip — gorilla trekking in Bwindi. After an early breakfast, walk to the ranger post for a full briefing. You’ll be grouped with other trekkers and led into the forest by experienced rangers and trackers.
The trek can last anywhere from 2 to 6 hours depending on the gorilla family’s location, but once found, you’ll spend a memorable one hour in their presence, observing their movements, social behavior, and gentle curiosity.
After the trek, return to the lodge to refresh, then begin the scenic journey back to Kigali.

Should you need extra nights in Kigali, additional accommodation can be arranged upon request. This safari can alternatively transfer to Entebbe or add-on a Big Game Safari in Queen Elizabeth National Park in Uganda.
