Day 1

You will check out of your hotel with the help of your professional guide and depart as early as 7:00am and drive through Kisoro with a lunch stopover enroute to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. The road trip will take about 8–10 h (540 km) drive. Nestled in the far southwest corner of Uganda, Mgahinga Gorilla National Park is a small but spectacular protected area covering 33.7 km², making it Uganda’s smallest national park—but one of its most unique. It is part of the Virunga Volcanoes range, sharing borders with Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park and the Democratic Republic of Congo’s Virunga National Park. The park is home to three extinct volcanoes—Mount Muhavura, Mount Gahinga, and Mount Sabyinyo—offering dramatic landscapes, high-altitude forests, and breathtaking scenery. Upon arrival at the park, you will check into Lake Chahafi Resort, freshen up and relax.

Day 2
Gorilla Trekking + Batwa Cultural Experience
Gorilla Trekking + Batwa Cultural Experience
You will embark on a drive to the park for a Gorilla Trekking experience after early morning breakfast. You will start with briefing at Ntebeko Visitor Centre at 8:30 AM and then head out for trekking. The Trekking activity may take 2–8 hours, varying by location, terrain, and gorilla movement; once found, visitors spend 1 hour with the group. You will trek through dense bamboo/volcanic terrain for 2–8 hours—enjoy an hour observing gorillas up close. After the trek, you will the have the Batwa cultural walk. You will meet with meet with Batwa guides for a forest walk and first hand experience of their traditions (fire making, foraging, dance). When done with the cultural walk, you will return to the resort and relax.

Day 3
Golden monkey trekking& return to Entebbe
Golden monkey trekking& return to Entebbe
You will have breakfast then check out of the resort as you prepare to drive back to Entebbe. You will first have golden monkey trekking experience. Embarking on a golden monkey trekking adventure in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park offers a unique opportunity to observe these endangered primates in their natural habitat. This will take approximately 4–5 hours. After the trekking, you will embark on a journey to Entebbe where you will be dropped off to the airport to catch your flight. You will use Kisoro → Masaka–Kayabwe and have a stopover at the equator for stretching and taking some pictures.
