Early morning departure from Arusha at 6:00 AM with a scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley and Karatu. After passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, enjoy en route game viewing as you descend into the endless plains of the Serengeti. Along the way, witness giraffes, elephants, zebras, and predators like cheetahs or lions basking in the golden savannah. You'll reach the Central Serengeti by early afternoon, where a thrilling game drive awaits in one of Africa’s most iconic wildlife parks. In the evening, check in at Matawi Tented Lodge, a luxurious tented lodge with spectacular views and comfort, providing the perfect end to an adventurous day.

Central Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

Wake up to the call of the wild and begin your early morning game drive while the predators are still active. After breakfast, continue with a mid-morning drive, possibly spotting elusive leopards in the trees or hippos near waterholes. By late morning or early afternoon, start the journey towards Ngorongoro Conservation Area with optional picnic lunch along the way. You’ll ascend to the rim of the crater and camp overnight at Simba Public Campsite, which offers breathtaking views over the crater and the classic bush experience under the stars.

Ngorongoro to Arusha
