Day 1

Zanzibar to Tarangire National Park

Zanzibar to Tarangire National Park

At 6:00 am (pick-up time depends on your hotel’s location in Zanzibar), our driver will transfer you to the airport for your 8:00 am flight from Zanzibar to Arusha. Upon arrival at 9:15 am, your driver-guide will take you on a 1.5-hour drive to Tarangire National Park, sharing fascinating insights about the history and culture of Arusha and the Maasai people along the way.

Tarangire National Park is famous for its rich biodiversity, including large herds of elephants and a variety of landscapes, from seasonal swamps to savannahs, with the Tarangire River winding through the park. You may witness lions stalking their prey or leopards resting in the trees.

You will enjoy a packed lunch inside the park. The afternoon game drive ends around 4:00 pm, after which you’ll be driven to your lodge for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay.

Game Drive in Ngorongoro Crater and Flight back to Zanzibar

After breakfast at 6:00 am, you'll set off for an early game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater, taking advantage of the best light and most active wildlife. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is the largest uninterrupted caldera on Earth and one of Africa's natural wonders. The crater is home to around 30,000 large mammals, including buffaloes, lions, elephants, cheetahs, and rhinos, as well as a rich variety of birds like flamingos, eagles, and buzzards. Expect to see many animals in a short time.

The game drive ends in the afternoon, followed by a transfer to Arusha Airport for your 4:30 pm flight back to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, your driver will transfer you to your hotel for a restful evening.
