Day 2

Murchison Falls National Park

Murchison Falls National Park

Start your day with a sunrise game drive across the northern plains of the park. With luck, you may spot lions, elephants, giraffes, buffalo, leopards, hartebeest, and a variety of birds. Return to the lodge for breakfast and some rest. In the afternoon, take a scenic boat cruise along the Nile River toward the base of the thunderous Murchison Falls. Watch for hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and birdlife along the riverbanks. At the base, you can opt for a guided hike to the top of the falls, where the Nile is forced through a narrow gorge, creating a dramatic roar and misty spray.

Day 3

Transfer to Kibale National Park

Transfer to Kibale National Park

After breakfast, depart Murchison Falls for Kibale National Park, a journey that offers scenic views of Uganda’s rich countryside, tea plantations, and rural villages. Enjoy the changing landscapes as you drive southwest toward Fort Portal. Time permitting, make an optional stop in Fort Portal town for lunch and to enjoy sweeping views of the majestic Rwenzori Mountains, also known as the "Mountains of the Moon." Arrive in the afternoon or evening at Kibale, home to the highest diversity of primates in Africa, including chimpanzees. Check into your lodge and relax.
