You will arrive at Entebbe International Airport, where a professional guide from Jerodi Africa Safari will be waiting to warmly welcome you to Uganda. After a short briefing, you will be transferred to your hotel to check in and refresh.
Depending on your arrival time, you can choose to relax at the lodge or enjoy an optional brief city tour. This may include visits to the Entebbe Botanical Gardens, known for its rich birdlife and peaceful setting, or a walk through the vibrant local craft markets.
Later in the day, you'll be treated to a scenic sunset cruise on Lake Victoria, Africa’s largest freshwater lake. As the sun dips below the horizon, enjoy stunning views, birdwatching, and a relaxing introduction to Uganda’s natural beauty.

Day 2

After an early breakfast, begin your journey northward toward Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only place in Uganda where you can see rhinos in the wild. Upon arrival, you’ll embark on an exciting guided walking safari to track the white rhinos on foot. This rare and safe opportunity brings you up close to these majestic creatures and marks the first of the Big Five sightings on your safari.
After this unforgettable experience, continue your scenic drive through Uganda’s rural landscapes, passing local villages, savannah plains, and roadside markets. You'll arrive at Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest and oldest conservation area, in the late afternoon or evening. Settle into your lodge and enjoy the sights and sounds of the African wilderness.

Day 3

Start your day with a sunrise game drive through the open savannahs of Murchison Falls National Park, when wildlife is most active. Accompanied by your guide, you’ll explore the northern sector of the park, home to a rich variety of animals including lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, hartebeests, and leopards if lucky. The early morning light also provides excellent opportunities for photography and birdwatching.
Return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast and some relaxation.
In the afternoon, embark on a memorable boat cruise along the Nile River toward the base of Murchison Falls, where the mighty river explodes through a narrow gorge just 7 meters wide. Along the way, spot hippos, Nile crocodiles, and an abundance of water birds such as African fish eagles, kingfishers, and bee-eaters. The cruise offers spectacular views of wildlife gathering at the riverbanks and ends with a dramatic view of the falls from below — a truly iconic moment in your safari.

After breakfast, depart Murchison Falls and begin your journey southwest toward Queen Elizabeth National Park, one of Uganda’s most diverse and scenic protected areas. This drive takes you through Uganda’s beautiful countryside, passing tea plantations, banana farms, and rolling hills dotted with traditional homesteads.
As you move closer to the Albertine Rift, the landscape becomes more dramatic, with picturesque crater lakes, forested escarpments, and vast savannah plains. Your guide will offer opportunities for en-route birding, especially in wetland and forest-edge habitats, where you might spot hornbills, turacos, and various raptors.
You’ll arrive at your lodge near Queen Elizabeth National Park in the late afternoon or early evening, just in time to settle in, relax, and enjoy views of the distant Rwenzori Mountains or the plains below.

After an early breakfast, head to the nearby Kalinzu Forest Reserve for an exciting chimpanzee trekking experience. This lush tropical forest is home to over 300 chimpanzees, as well as other primates like black-and-white colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, and vervets. With the help of an experienced ranger, you'll follow forest trails while listening for the high-pitched calls and rustling of the chimps. Once located, you'll spend up to an hour observing their fascinating behavior in the wild — grooming, feeding, and swinging through the trees.
In the afternoon, set out for a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel, a natural waterway that connects Lake Edward and Lake George. This channel is renowned for its dense concentration of wildlife — expect to see hundreds of hippos, Nile crocodiles, buffalo, elephants, and a spectacular variety of water birds, including pelicans, storks, African fish eagles, and kingfishers.

After breakfast, begin your scenic journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. Your route takes you through the southern Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park — a remote and wild area famous for its tree-climbing lions, a rare behavior seen in only a few places in Africa. Keep your eyes on the branches of fig and acacia trees — you might spot lions lounging above the ground, avoiding the heat and insects below.
By late afternoon, you’ll arrive in Bwindi, where you'll check into your lodge nestled in the forested highlands. The rest of the evening is for rest and preparation for the once-in-a-lifetime gorilla trekking experience the next day. Your guide will give you a briefing on what to expect and how to get ready.

After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before starting your trek into the dense rainforest of Bwindi. Guided by expert trackers and rangers, you’ll hike in search of a mountain gorilla family. Once located, you’ll spend up to one magical hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat—a truly unforgettable experience. After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch, then begin your journey back to Entebbe or proceed with your post-tour extension.
