Day 1

Transfer to Nyungwe National Park

Transfer to Nyungwe National Park

You will be checked out of your hotel in Kigali, Rwanda as early as 5:00am with the help of your professional guide and transferred to Nyungwe National Park after your breakfast. Nyungwe National Park is one of Africa’s oldest rainforests and a biodiversity hotspot located in southwestern Rwanda. Covering 1,019 km². it is home to 13 primate species, including chimpanzees, Ruwenzori black-and-white colobus monkeys, and L’Hoest’s monkeys. The park is home to over 500 chimpanzees, with two habituated groups available for trekking. Upon reaching the park, you will have canopy walk offering exhilarating treetop panoramas and glimpses of primates, birds, and orchids. After the walk, you will check into the accommodation, have lunch, freshen up and relax.

Day 2

Chimpanzee Trekking

After early morning breakfast as early as 6:00am, your professional guide will transfer you to Nyungwe National Park for Chimpanzee Trekking. Nyungwe National Park is a home to 13 primate species, including chimpanzees, Ruwenzori black-and-white colobus monkeys, and L’Hoest’s monkeys. The park is home to over 500 chimpanzees, with two habituated groups available for trekking. After the trekking you will have a nature walk and later transfer to Lake Kivu after having lunch. Upon reaching, you will check into the accommodation, freshen up and have dinner.

Day 3

Transfer to Lake Kivu (Relaxation & Exploration)

After breakfast, you will head to Lake Kivu, Rwanda’s largest lake. You will enjoy a boat ride, swim on this stunning body of water with emerald-green depths, surrounded by misty mountains and dotted with islands—Idjwi being the largest and after relax with stunning views of the lake. Lake Kivu is one of Africa’s Great Lakes, nestled between Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. You will have lunch as you prepare to visit fishing villages around. These lakeside towns are not only hubs for local fishermen but also offer visitors a chance to witness or even join in on traditional fishing practices. At the end of the day, you will then go check into the accommodation and relax.

Day 4

Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After an early morning breakfast, you will Cross into Uganda and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via the Cyanika border post which is a scenic route and also have lunch enroute to the park to be specific Rushaga. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a lush, mountainous rainforest in southwestern Uganda, famous for being one of the last strongholds of the endangered mountain gorillas. In fact, it’s home to nearly half of the world’s remaining population —making it one of the best places on Earth for gorilla trekking. Upon arrival in Rushaga, you will have community walk as you get to visit the Batwa people The Batwa guides will share their traditional knowledge, dances, music, and survival skills with visitors. These programs aim to preserve their heritage and generate income for their communities. At the end of the day, you will check into Bweza Gorilla Lodge, freshen up and relax.

Day 5

Gorilla Trekking& Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Gorilla Trekking& Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

After an early morning breakfast, you will get to Bwindi Impenetrable national Park for gorilla trekking. Treks can last anywhere from 2 to 6 hours, depending on gorilla movements and terrain and you spend 1 hour with the gorillas once they are located, as per park rules. After trekking, you will have lunch and head to Lake Bunyonyi Uganda’s deepest lake. Lake Bunyonyi, meaning “Place of Many Little Birds,” is a breathtaking crater lake tucked into the highlands of southwestern Uganda near Kabale. Upon arrival, you will head to the White Horse Inn, check in and relax.

After breakfast, you will relax as you prepare for an afternoon boat cruise. With terraced hillsides, tranquil hippo- and crocodile-free waters, you will enjoy a boat cruise as you explore some of the islands, each with its own story and after have lunch and later be driven back to Entebbe with scenic views along the way by road via Kabale–Mbarara–Masaka–Mpigi–Entebbe Expressway, covering about 457 km and taking roughly 7.5 to 8 hours with a stopover at the Uganda Equator for photos and souvenirs. After lunch, you will then embark on your journey to Entebbe airport so as to catch your flight back home.
