Serengeti Safari – The Big Five & The Great Migration

Today is dedicated entirely to exploring the Serengeti, home to one of the greatest concentrations of wildlife on Earth. We begin with a sunrise game drive, the golden hour when predators like lions and leopards are most active.

Throughout the day, you’ll traverse varied landscapes—from open grasslands to riverine woodlands—tracking the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino), as well as cheetahs, hippos, jackals, and countless antelope. Depending on the season, you may witness the Great Migration, a spectacle of millions of wildebeest and zebra moving in search of fresh grazing.

Enjoy a bush lunch beneath an acacia tree before continuing your exploration until dusk. Back at camp, share stories by the campfire and gaze up at a starlit African sky free of city lights.

Volunteering at Living Water Children Centre – Deeper Connections

Your second day at LWCC builds on the friendships you created yesterday, allowing you to connect on a deeper level with both the children and staff. You might tutor small groups of students in English or math, help paint and brighten classrooms, or work alongside local staff on small projects such as gardening or building simple play equipment.
The children and staff will share their world with you, teaching traditional Tanzanian songs and dances, and even inviting you into the kitchen to cook a local dish together, such as ugali (a staple maize porridge) or chapati. These moments of laughter, learning, and shared experience help break cultural barriers and foster a genuine exchange of traditions.

As the sun sets, you’ll reflect with your coordinator and group on the impact of your time at LWCC, and how these connections rooted in kindness and curiosity can extend beyond this visit, inspiring future collaborations and friendships.
