Day 1
Pick up in Arusha and, after a 2–3-hour drive to the park, arrive for game drives. The park boasts the highest density of elephants in Tanzania, and the Tarangire River provides a constant water supply throughout the year. During the Dry season, between July and October, many animals from the surrounding areas gather at the river to quench their thirst. If you visit during this time, you will witness an unforgettable natural spectacle, with sightings of lions, giraffes, buffalo, wildebeest, zebras, and various types of antelopes and gazelles. With a bit of luck, you might also spot a python! The Dry season is also a haven for birdwatchers, with over 550 species recorded, including the Masai ostrich, the world's largest bird. Around lunchtime, you will stop at a suitable picnic site before continuing with afternoon game drives and wildlife viewing. Before sunset, you will return to your hotel or the airport in Arusha.
