Arrival in Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you’ll be greeted by your driver or tour representative holding a sign with your name. After assisting with your luggage, they will transfer you directly to your hotel in Arusha. The drive typically takes 45–60 minutes, depending on traffic and weather. On arrival, check in and settle into your hotel to rest and prepare for your safari.

Arusha – Lake Manyara

Your safari adventure begins with a scenic drive from Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park, a hidden gem nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Upon arrival, you'll embark on an exciting game drive through the park's diverse ecosystems, ranging from lush groundwater forests to open savannahs and the alkaline lake itself. Keep an eye out for elephants, giraffes, hippos, and the park’s famous tree-climbing lions, as well as a variety of birdlife, including thousands of pink flamingos. After a day of wildlife viewing, you'll head to Marera Lodge, located near Karatu, where you’ll enjoy a comfortable overnight stay in a serene setting with beautiful views and warm hospitality.
